I have bought 3 of their dresses now and I just love them! They are cute, flattering, cool, washable, and I always get compliments when I wear them. The material is high quality and I have not seen any fading or stretching at this point. They have so many colors and fabrics to choose from. I love the details like the lace, the boning, and the lace up backs. I will continue to buy these dresses.

Ordered some items for an upcoming event and paid for expedited 7-10 day shipping. One item shipped the day after my order and arrived on time. The other items shipped over a week after my order and didn’t arrive until well after the event. I reached out to customer service about returning the items and was offered the choice of returning the order (buyer pays shipping fees, they estimated $10-30), or keep the items and receive a 10% refund ($14 on a $144 order), 25% off coupon, $15 voucher, or $10 gift card. I chose to return the items and was told that I have 3 days from receipt of the email until the return window would close. The return address is in China, despite the return address on my order package being a business address in Illinois… and the return shipping cost with international tariffs is $66.70 (for a $144.77 order), not $10-30 like they said in the email. I asked about sending the items back to the Illinois business address, so we’ll see what they say… Customer service’s emails are very generic and either automated or pulled directly from a script with no reference to your specific order, just a list of policies and encouragement to opt for a 10% refund or store cre

I’ve enjoyed all the pieces I’ve bought from Scarletdarkness. The tracking information could be better since it can take some time to arrive to the US. The team is very responsive to inquiries. It is easy to work with them on sizes.

I have got so many complements on my outfits from SD! Their customer service has been wonderful and you can tell they are dedicated to customer satisfaction. I will always choose SC for all my renfair/halloween/daily outfits! Can’t beat this company!

I placed an order from their anniversary sale (including a blind box), after a week with no updates I followed up with support. I got an email saying everything was in production (which wasn’t mentioned anywhere). It’s been 3 weeks and another follow up to support and I have no answers on my $150 order.

I have ordered from Scarlet Darkness, I believe 3 times now, with a 4th on the way. Every time I have ordered the clothes are so comfortable and great quality, including accessories. The tracking of the packages can be a challenge but I've never had something not arrive. I have had a few items not fit, but that was based on my iffy judgement of corset sizes and not SD's sizing chart's fault. But anytime I've reached out with questions or concerns I receive prompt and great customer service responses. I definitely recommend this brand for quality period piece clothing and accessories. The prices may be "high" but they are reasonable for the quality and also considering they are an overseas company and must consider shipping and the taxes/tariffs involved in that.

Some items were okay but the ones I needed to return have been a nightmare. Was offered a discount on my next order instead of a refund and then told there is only a 3 day window for items to be returned. What happened to the 14 days described in their returns policy??? Eventually had to open a Paypal dispute for them to agree to refund on return - then had to try and negotiate sending it back - you will need customs tariff codes etc (which apparently we have to pay) before sending, and then have to apply to HMRC afterwards for a refund of this. It will cost you a fortune and end up being a pointless exercise. If you order from here be prepared to keep anything you receive because you have no chance of getting your money back.

I have ordered multiple times from scarlet darkness now and i will continue to do so in the future, I love how unique there clothing is, perfect for a costume or everyday wear and I love the quality of everything.

They have a wide range and I have ordered dresses, corsets and even a swimsuit, everything I have been super happy with and I wear often.

Everything I have ordered has also arrived with in the time frame given and I have never had any issues.

Sizing also is as described.
I have recommended scarlet darkness to all my friends and will continue to do so. Completely Obsessed!

I love the products they have! They have such beautiful styles and are good quality. In terms of customer service they responded to me quickly and offered to resolve my issue. When I had gotten my order one of the items were too small. I sent them an email and they responded within 24 hours with multiple resolution options. I was really happy with the rest of my items, they all fit well and looked really good! The courset I got in particular I was really happy with because it had a zipper opening but could be adjusted from the front and the back. I will likely order from them again!

The products I ordered are great. The customer service should you need them is an absolute joke. I was missing the leather holster for the glass bottle of the potion belt I ordered. My initial email explained my situation and included pictures of the belt, bottle and the packaging and a picture of what they advertised on their website. The response didn’t answer any of my questions or address my direct concern. They are also requiring a picture specifically, quote from my most recent response;
“A photo of the mark with our logo is required
We need to speed up to deal with this issue.“
Why is this a requirement when all I need is for them to send me a small piece of leather that didn’t come with my product as described? Not to mention it took six weeks for my order to get to me. There was no notice that any of the items would take longer to ship than the advertised 10 to 20 day delivery window. I also did not get any kind of shipping notifications about my order. There really should be a way to see what’s available right away versus what will take the extra time.

Everything about this site is a scam. I ordered On May 31st. I do not have my item yet. I reached out to their support team on July 4th and just asked to cancel my order as the event I got it for has passed. They told me the best they can do is a 20% coupon and to “ship it immediately” despite it saying it’s out of stock on their site. On Tuesday they said they would comply to my refund and not ship it out and then a day later I got the shipping notification. Absolutely useless customer service. Then they won’t issue my refund until I “send it back” I NEVER RECEIVED IT. I guess I’ll be taking the L because they have been so unhelpful and disregarded my requests to have it cancelled and refunded.

Scam shop, don’t ever ordered anything from them, I ordered an outfit for the renaissance faire a month ago, and they haven’t even shipped it yet, I tried contacting them but they just keep ignoring me, save your money

I absolutely love these dresses. As someone whose weight fluctuates the dresses with a corset back are amazing. I love that I can customize my fit everytime I put it on. I probably own around 15 of these dresses overall, and they make up the vast majority of my wardrobe. With a cardigan, and a pair of army boots people have no ideas that the dress works at the renaissance fair too. I love that it brings a touch of whimsy back into my life. As a mom I desperately needed a bit of magic. The orders go through quickly and all of my communication with customer services have been incredibly polite and helpful.

I am never ordering from here again; I placed an order on May 18th, and to this day, it hasn't arrived or even been shipped.
I was in contact via Facebook Messenger for two weeks, and was told that if it hadn't been shipped or delivered by the end of June, I should get in touch again. Aside from acknowledging the order number, I get no response—it takes a long time for them to reply at all.

I am so pleasantly surprised with my order. Everything looks well made, exactly like on the photos. Material is nice, clothes in general are comfortable to wear. I'm from Europe and everything was delivered in 2-3 weeks. Thank you so much, I'll definitely order again!

My experience with Scarletdarkness shop was great already 3 times in the row! I have received my products, the timing and care which was spent during product preparation is the most important. You can find some negative feedbacks, but these are silly ones. Why? Because the dresses and other products are fragile, they are packed with love and care, that is why the shop can't deliver quickly or write to you. Personaly, they have so much empathy, that they always ask and write back, suggest and always make a compromise with customers! The materials are as written in their page, I have tested them, the tags say differently, maybe production error, but I can just recomend this shop if you want price and quality, you choose Scarletdarkness products and they will get to you, you won't be dissapointed 💛

I've discovered Scarlet Darkness for over a year (thanks to Amazon), and I've placed several orders, all received within 8-10 days, except when some items are out of stock.

Sometimes, some items turned out to be out of stock after I placed the order. In this case, the customer service offers a replacement - the customer service has always provided a response to my emails.

I love vintage garments and Scarlet Darkness has become my favorite brand. Their garments look like the pictures of the website. The fabrics are good quality and well sewn. I love all my Scarlet Darkness clothes!

I've gained weight the last few years due to a disease, and I need clothes that I can easily adjust so that they do not quickly become too small. Scarlet Darkness clothes have often laces up and elastic band so the size is not a problem.

Scarlet darkness is one of my favorite brands. I have used them for years and love all my Scarlett darkness dresses and accessories. I always get compliments on my outfits. With easy adjustable straps and elastic wristbands these dresses are comfortable and stylish. Everytime I get the chance I buy new dresses that always end up fitting just right with large pockets big enough to fit my phone wallet and keys all at one time without sacrificing style. Sometimes they take awhile to ship but they always deliver high quality dresses and outfits that are well packaged and comfortable. By far I highly recommend this brand they are worth the money and wait everytime.

However, the delivery is a real shame: far too slow and I never received reliable tracking because on my profile, the products I have purchased and received are still marked as being prepared. The only downside, otherwise nothing, I'm very happy with my purchases. ✨

Scarlet Darkness has impressively awesome styles to choose from. You can get so many different looks from them. I have bought a lot of things from them and I've been happy with all of them. Their corsets are so varied and beautiful, they give a real depth to any look you're going for. You can also layer multiple pieces for added interest in what you're going for. I have been shopping at Scarlet Darkness for years now and have not been disappointed with them. Their deliveries can be a little slow at times but it's worth the wait. I will be shopping with them for years to come.

I've ordered from Scarlett Darkness several times. I will order again because they have great products at great prices (when on sale or coupon). My experiences have been overall positive but there are some downsides. I can't remember how many items over the years I ordered were out of stock (several). The customer support is dismal they never notified me of the issues I had to contact them to find out why my orders arrived missing items. Now when I reach out 1st they always emailed me back the next day so that I do appreciate. But, I shouldn't have to reach out 1st. The moment it is realized an item is out of stock the company should immediately send an email with solution choices. A couple times I chose a different item & it was sent out very fast. 1 time I asked for refund. The most recent occurrence I waited for the item to return in stock. If you are cool with placing your order & just forgetting about it until one day it shows up in your mailbox you'll be happy shopping here, but if you need a company to hold your hand through the whole process you'll hate shopping here. Do not trust this company. Trust the numerous negative reviews and don't be fooled by the positive ones as I was. Their communication and customer service is horrible, and they hold no accountability for ignoring customer requests whilst expecting the customer to cover the costs for their mistakes.

I placed an order from them and paid extra for expedited shipping with the understanding that it would arrive within 12 days at most (1-2 days order processing + 7-10 days expedited shipping). After not hearing from them for many days after placing my order I became concerned and reached out to check in on the order. Only then did they inform me of a delay in sending the items from their warehouse, and that apparently 2 of the 4 items I had ordered were not even available and would require at least another 2 weeks in production before they would be available. (These items were also still noted as available on their website at this time). I requested confirmation of the newly expected arrival date (including that of the 2 replacement items I had selected to replace the out of stock items) which I specifically needed to know so that I could decide whether my order would arrive in time fo

Scarlet Darkness provide an excellent efficient service. The clothing is very unique catering for the younger to older ladies. As a mature lady myself I find the long dresses very dramatic and comfortable. I have a variety of clothing from this brand such as a beautiful black lace long dress with beautiful sleeves and blouses with exceptional unusual sleeves. I feel like a goddess when I wear them as the clothing brings out my unique character. I highly recommend this brand, you really won’t be disappointed. If you want statement pieces that bring out your inner goddess then this is exactly what you will get.

Everything I’ve ever purchased from Scarlett Darkness has been top notch quality. My family and I attend lots of ren faires and I constantly get compliments on my various corsets and dresses. No matter your fantasy style preferences, they have everything from pirates to faeries to vikings to goth. They even carry the most beautiful dresses just for summer. The corsets I’ve purchased have beautifully detailed tapestry work, the dresses have wonderful details and freatures-most importantly, pockets!! Sizing is very accurate in my opinion. Shipping takes a little longer, but if you plan ahead, the items are worth the wait.

Should have looked them up but got sucked into the marketing d'oh!

This company is one of my favorite clothing brands they have stepped it up big time and have extremely well made unique adorable dresses and honestly everything they have put out lately that I've purchased has made it to my favorite clothing I own

Scarlet Darkness offers a beautiful collection of retro and vintage clothing. They are beautiful and very elegant. I have purchased from them a few times for my wife and their dresses are stunning and look great. Just be aware that their sizes are a bit on the small size, so make sure you upside one size. Their customer service is great they are a bit slow to respond but they do accommodate your needs. Do I do recommend scarlet Darkness to people. Live their clothing.

I love ordering from Scarlet Darkness. They have pretty nice/quality clothing for the price. What could be better; Shipping times; I feel like it takes a really long time to get just one belt that I needed for an event and I stressed about not getting it in time. Also, I feel like they are not very size-inclusive. More choices would be great. Most of the corsets stop at a size 16. A few are a size 18, which is currently my size now that I have lost 20 pounds. However, before that, I was pretty much out of luck, and there largest-2x-size dress barely fit me. Now they are too big, but the XL is tight, so a 1XL would be a great option.

I've always enjoyed my purchases from this company in the past. I've noticed that stuff is coming straight from China more recently. So far, I haven't had any issues. I've scored some good gear for Pirate and Renaissance festivals.
