About this lot

the supplier's own description
Vintage Doll Lot - 2 Pieces
Story Book Doll, Japan Bisque
Mid-20th Century
A charming pair of mid-century collectible dolls, featuring a Nancy Ann Story Book Doll and a jointed bisque figure marked Japan. These small-scale dolls were popular as shelf decor and playthings during the 1940s and 50s, exhibiting the traditional textile costumes and delicate painted features characteristic of the era.
Items Included
Nancy Ann Story Book Doll: Hard plastic construction with jointed arms and blonde mohair hair. Dressed in a floral cotton gown with lace trim and marked "Story Book Doll" on back.
Japanese Bisque Doll: Porcelain bisque construction with molded white hair and hand-painted facial features. Dressed in a blue fabric gown with floral bodice detail and marked "Made in Japan" on the neck.
Extra Accessory: One small pink fabric hat or clothing fragment included with the lot.
Measurements: Figures range from approximately 4.5 to 5.5 inches in height.
Condition: Overall vintage condition consistent with age. The plastic doll shows minor scuffing and white residue on the back of the limbs and neck; the dress fabric is aged with light fraying.
