Southwest Style, Late 20th Century
This lot features two vintage ceramic tiles showcasing the distinctive Southwest-inspired artwork of Cleo Teissedre. One tile depicts the traditional Storyteller motif with a figure surrounded by children against a pueblo backdrop, while the second features a turtle carrying children, both rendered in a warm, earth-toned palette with vibrant glazed accents.
Hand-glazed, kiln-fired ceramic construction with protective fiberboard backing
JRT mark visible on the front of both tiles
Original Jack & Cleo Teissedre labels preserved on the reverse
Integrated hanging holes for wall display; also suitable for use as trivets
Dimensions: 6" L x 6" W each
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing visible on the glazed surfaces. The fiberboard backings are intact with minor shelf wear and age-appropriate toning to the labels. The colors remain bright and the glazing is smooth and glossy.
