How do I use it in code?
Read a file straight from its address. The examples list the brands with the highest median resale price in the latest month.
import pandas as pd BASE = "https://shop.closo.co/wholesale/research-data/latest/" prices = pd.read_csv(BASE + "median_price_days_monthly.csv") latest = prices[(prices.month == prices.month.max()) & (prices.slice_type == "brand")] print(latest.nlargest(10, "median_price_usd")[["slice_name", "median_price_usd", "median_days", "status"]])
base <- "https://shop.closo.co/wholesale/research-data/latest/"
prices <- read.csv(paste0(base, "median_price_days_monthly.csv"))
latest <- subset(prices, month == max(month) & slice_type == "brand")
head(latest[order(-latest$median_price_usd), c("slice_name", "median_price_usd", "median_days", "status")], 10)

Field guide
What does
statusmean?final: the period is closed and will not change. preliminary: the latest period, revised once at the next release. insufficient data: the cell is published empty because the period fell under the publication floor.
Why are some cells empty?
A median or a change below the publication floor is left blank rather than printed as a noisy figure. Blank cells carry the status
insufficient data; treat them as missing, not as zero.Which slug is which?
category_slugandbrand_slugfollow the Closo wholesale catalogue, so a slug joins across every file and resolves on the research pages:/research/brands/<brand_slug>,/research/<category_slug>.How do I pin a release?
Replace
latestin the address with the release month, for example/wholesale/research-data/2026-08/sdi_category_monthly.csv. A month's files stop changing once its status is final; until then the daily update refreshes the preliminary month.What are the bases?
Search Demand Index: 2024 = 100 (yearly average). Wholesale Demand Index: Oct 2026 = 100, first reading Jan 2027. Shares are percentages of the month's resale demand; lift is a ratio over chance.
