I used Crossroads Trading’s Sell By Mail program and had a very poor experience. My bag was processed on September 15, 2026. It contained an entire bag of nice clothing, including items that had barely been worn, yet Crossroads says they could not purchase a single item.
I was then told everything had been donated. They also said I should have received an email notifying me, but I did not receive one, including in my junk or spam folder.
My biggest concern is the lack of transparency once Crossroads has possession of the clothing. I received no itemized record of what was evaluated, no expla
Crossroads trading clothing is one of the most cleanest clothing stores for being a thrift store and where you can exchange your clothes and they’re very picky about what they choose and they’re very specific on what they want for the type of season. It is a very up class upscaled boutique for good clothing at a lower price, but still a little pricey Customer Service is great and they have great fashion. I just wish they had a more diverse fashion because I’m bigger on the top and little on the bottom but more to come I loved everything they had there.
Honestly save your time and energy. I’ve sold with them a few times and there’s non rhyme or reason to what they buy. I’m never looking to make money-just a few bucks here and there when purging. It’s more the fact of the matter. I’ve sent in naw brands (not fast fashion-brands like A&F, Nike, New Balance, JCrew, American Eagle etc) and all have been like new. If it’s not really good I just donate it.
This last time I sent in 10 items. Totally thought I’d get maybe $10-15 bucks. They bought one item. One.

I've consigned my high merchandise all over this city and have never been taken advantage of like this until I consigned a pair of McQueen sneakers. When I called back a month or two later to check on the shoes because I had not heard back, I was told they were GIVEN AWAY because the contract expired and I didn’t reach back out to them. The trade-in and cash-in options aren't great for the donor, but as a shopper off the street, I find things at the Brooklyn location to be affordable and almost 100% trendy. This is hands-down my favorite clothing store!!!

I think retailers are saying to their consumer "you voted for a minimum wage hike... so you pay for it." Or it is a sneaky way for the retailer to avoid paying taxes on income/increased revenue of 2%. Do they pay payroll tax on 2%? I doubt it. Deceptive indeed.
