Organizing Your Inventory

Organizing Your Inventory

When your inventory is organized, you spend less time searching and more time selling. Closo’s tools make it easy to group, filter, and manage your products so you can take action quickly — whether you’re crosslisting, repricing, or liquidating stock.

1. Use Tags for Smart Grouping

  • Create custom tags like “Summer Collection,” “Clearance,” or “High Margin.”

  • Assign tags when importing, adding, or editing a product.

  • Filter by tag to apply bulk actions instantly.

💡 Pro Tip: Tag seasonal or promotional items ahead of time so you can activate them at the right moment.

2. Filter by Key Attributes

In the Inventory tab, use filters to narrow your view by:

  • Marketplace

  • Category or brand

  • Status (Draft, Active, Sold)

  • Price range or margin

  • Date listed or last updated

3. Organize by Status

  • Draft – Items ready to be listed.

  • Active – Currently live on marketplaces.

  • Sold – Completed sales for tracking and analytics.

  • Archived – Removed listings kept for records.

4. Maintain Clean Data

  • Keep titles, descriptions, and photos consistent.

  • Fill in missing fields like brand, SKU, and category for better searchability.

  • Update prices and quantities regularly to avoid errors.

5. Prepare for AI Optimization

Well-organized inventory helps AI Agents make better decisions.

  • Accurate categories = better crosslisting suggestions.

  • Complete data = more precise pricing recommendations.

  • Tagged items = targeted automation (e.g., liquidate only “Clearance” tag).

💡 Next Step: Spend 10 minutes tagging and filtering your current inventory — you’ll make future bulk edits and automation much faster.
