FAQ

Wholesale backpacks in bulk — questions buyers ask

Backpacks in bulk — school packs, bookbags, daypacks, laptop and commuter bags, drawstring sacks and branded rucksacks. The backpack trade has one clear peak: school buying runs from July into September, and the wholesale lots that feed it are bought in spring. Outside that window the goods are commuter and outdoor packs, which sell year-round at a steadier margin. Listings state the piece count, the capacity or dimension range where the supplier gave one, and whether the packs are blank for printing or already carry a brand or a licence. Returns in this category are usually cosmetic — a torn polybag rather than a broken zip — and the listing states which it is.

Ask Closo Assistant → Estimate ROI for this category →
When should I buy for back-to-school?
March through June. By July the lots that fed the season have already moved and what is left is priced for someone who waited.
Are these branded or blank?
Both. Blank packs are bought for screen print and embroidery; branded and licensed packs resell as-is and carry comps beside the asking price.
Do laptop packs state the size they fit?
When the supplier declared it, yes — usually as a screen size in inches. It is worth asking if you are selling into a commuter or corporate channel.
