1. Timing Differences
-
Marketplaces often update in batches (e.g., every 24 hours).
-
Closo pulls data in real time, but some marketplaces delay reporting for sales, returns, or cancellations.
-
Result: You may see a sale in Closo before it appears in your marketplace report, or vice versa.
2. Marketplace Fees & Adjustments
-
Closo deducts known fees and commissions to show net profit.
-
Some marketplaces (like eBay or Poshmark) apply fees after payout, which may not appear in Closo until confirmed.
-
Refunds, cancellations, and pending payouts may also create temporary mismatches.
3. Import & Sync Settings
-
If you only imported selected listings, Closo Analytics reflects just those.
-
Unsynced items or disconnected accounts won’t be included in analytics.
-
Double-check your Import window to confirm everything is syncing.
4. Currency & Region Differences
-
If you sell internationally, marketplaces may report sales in local currency.
-
Closo standardizes values into your dashboard default currency, which can cause slight differences.
5. Filters in Analytics
-
Marketplace reports often show all activity.
-
Closo Analytics lets you apply filters (by date, category, marketplace, etc.).
-
Make sure your filters match the time range and scope of your marketplace reports.
6. Reconciling Numbers
If your analytics seem off:
-
Check that your marketplace connections are active.
-
Confirm your time range filters match.
-
Review any recent refunds, cancellations, or pending payouts.
-
Refresh your Closo dashboard to pull the latest data.
💡 Pro Tip: Use Closo’s Pareto chart to focus on top-performing categories and brands instead of worrying about minor discrepancies — this helps you make strategic decisions without getting stuck in number-chasing.
