What Australian buyers look for
How an order reaches Australia
Four steps, the same escrow as for U.S. buyers.
-
Step 1
Pick a parcel-size lot
Case packs and boxes up to 44 lb, 4 per order, from suppliers who ship abroad. Pallets stay in the U.S.
-
Step 2
See the freight before you pay
Your postal code on the lot page shows the USPS estimate for Australia in USD — 1–3 business days in transit.
-
Step 3
Pay into escrow
Card payment in USD. Closo holds the money and buys the label; the supplier ships within the lot's handling time.
-
Step 4
Receive, inspect, accept
Import tax and duty, if due, are billed on arrival. Dispute any manifest line within the acceptance window; only then is the supplier paid.

Questions Australia buyers ask
Straight answers on parcels, duties, payment and what cannot travel.
Do U.S. liquidation lots ship to Australia?
Yes — parcel-size lots do. Closo buys a tracked USPS label for boxes of up to 44 lb, at most 4 per order. Pallets and LTL freight are U.S.-only.
Who pays duties and import tax in Australia?
GST is 10 %. A consignment worth AUD 1,000 or less is a low-value import: GST is charged at the point of sale by a registered seller or platform, not at the border (Closo is not registered for Australian GST). Above AUD 1,000, GST, customs duty and the import processing charge are collected before release. Source: Australian Taxation Office — GST on low value imported goods, checked 2026-09-21. The buyer, on arrival, to Australia customs or the carrier — as with any import, and so is any carrier brokerage fee, charged per box. Closo declares the goods and their invoice value on the customs form; nothing is under-declared.
How much does shipping to Australia cost?
A parcel shipment under 150 lb from Los Angeles to Sydney is estimated from $1,030 right now, 1–3 business days in transit; the exact figure for your postal code and the lot's weight is shown on the lot page before you pay.
Can I pay in Australian dollars?
Prices and payment are in US dollars; your card converts at its own rate. The escrow and buyer protection are the same as for U.S. buyers.
Which lots do not ship abroad?
Anything that travels as freight — pallets, truckloads, a box over 44 lb, or more than 4 boxes — and goods a carrier will not carry internationally (aerosols, lithium batteries, perishables).
