Produced by the Ash Williams Recording Service of Lincoln, Nebraska, the discs include performances by the Sinfonia, Madrigal Singers, and Symphonic Band, and are lathe-cut recordings offering a primary source for regional and collegiate music history. The lot includes a 1956 Sinfonia Spring Concert (Parts 1 & 2), a 1956 Sinfonia Spring Concert (Parts 3 & 4), a 1955 Madrigal Singers recording (Parts 1 & 2), a U. of N. Symphonic Band recording of Suite for Concert Band / Trumpet Concerto, and an Ash Williams recording of Jacob / Rimsky-Korsakov / Gillis. The discs are private press university performances from Lincoln, Nebraska, carry Ash Williams Recording Service labels with typed and handwritten details, include original vintage Presto and Reeves Soundcraft paper sleeves, and are in 33 1/3 RPM format as indicated on the labels.
Condition: Used. The discs show significant signs of age and wear consistent with vintage acetate recordings. One black disc exhibits extreme surface crazing and cracking across the lacquer coating.
