Made a reservation a month in advance to pick up a 6”x12” from Whitehorse, Yukon. As I live in a remote location, the reservation was intentionally made way in advance to secure this trailer as I move homes.
Today I stopped by the Uhaul depot to confirm my reservation. I was told this reservation hadn’t been assigned to their location yet and I should contact Regional Office instead. I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with U-Haul during my recent rental.
During pickup, the picture-upload function on the U-Haul mobile app was not working, so I could not upload photos as part of the vehicle inspection. I reported the issue to a U-Haul staff member at the time. The vehicle was also parked very tightly in the yard, making it difficult to properly inspect all areas, and I did not notice an existing dent on the front metal bumper.

I’ve been ordering boxes from them for the past 2 years but recently their delivery service Roadie has become so unreliable it’s not worth it anymore. They frequently try to jam 100 extra large U-Haul boxes into a small SUV and lately have not delivered or delivered to the wrong place. I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything for delivery.
I am shocked to even be writing this. I wrote a raving review a few days ago. I was at the store renting a storage unit through Oscar. He was great. I explained to him that I was shopping for decorative things for my moms house, and wanted something that I could use to lay bedding on so I could determine what pillows go best with what comforters, etc so I can organize them by room before we move into her house. Very disappointing experience with U-Haul.
We specifically called before planning our move and were told that we could take our U-Box ourselves from Brampton to New Brunswick. Based on that information, we planned our entire move.
We spent two days sorting and transferring our belongings between U-Boxes, took time off work, worked almost 10 hours at the location, booked a hotel in Quebec City, and arranged our lease and electricity dates around this plan.
When we later tried to finalize everything, U-Haul told us we could not take the U-Box ourselves.
